Sparrow Square is a three-phase redevelopment of the former Kingsboro Psychiatric Center campus in East Flatbush that will deliver approximately 1,000 affordable homes, including affordable multifamily and senior housing, supportive housing, and homeownership opportunities, as well as purpose-built shelters. Developed in partnership with Breaking Ground as part of New York State’s Vital Brooklyn Initiative, the project will also include more than two acres of public green space, two private roads, a 10,000-square-foot Brooklyn Ballet facility, an 8,000-square-foot fresh food grocer, a daycare center, and other community facilities.
